Saikai Bridge

Saikai Bridge was built in 1955 as a bridge between Sasebo City and Nishisonogi Peninsula over the rapids of Hario Seto. The best part of the Saikai Bridge is the rapids with tides that are counted as one of Japan’s three significant tides. The most significant tidal currents in spring and autumn are spectacular, and during that time, the Uzushio Festival is held.
